World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrade of your items is an essential element of equipping your character. Upgrades increase the damage of your item and enchantments.
They also provide bonuses and improvements. They can be acquired by contacting the Blacksmith.
Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Every item recycled adds level to the gauge of upgrade.
Weapon
When a weapon is upgraded, it will gain a base damage bonus and a scaling factor that can affect other stats. The weapon can also be upgraded with a number of upgrade components that offer additional effects or attributes as well as distinctive cosmetic effects. These upgrades can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, gathering tools and trinkets. Most require that the item is equipped with an upgrade slot and meet certain requirements. When a weapon or armor piece features an upgrade component within it, it is able to be upgraded but the prior upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be recovered using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, Ascended Salvage tool, or a higher-tier salvaging tool for an item.
In addition to the standard upgrades, a weapon can be upgraded by adding the Calibration Attribute which improves certain stats like Weakspot Damage or Crit Rate. This can be done via the Gear Workbench interaction menu. Based on the tier of the weapon, this can be done up to four times.
Once the weapon has reached its maximum level of improvement, it can then be modified to give different effects and bonuses or to boost specific stats. These upgrades can all be applied at once and their effects will depend on how rare the weapon is.
There are two Blacksmiths in the game who can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area as well as Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. The upgrade materials are both different: Smithing Stones to modify the type of damage that weapon does and Somber Smithing Stones to alter the standard weapons.
It is generally advised to improve weapon damage first, then armor defense, and finally the other secondary stats that are required by your build. Particularly, it is common to see melee druids upgrade their weapon before they upgrade any other gear, as this helps maximise DPS. This is especially relevant to enchantments that are extremely effective in boosting a weapon's damage and other stats.
Armor
Item upgrades allow players to boost the stats of certain armors, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools. These upgrades can also bring additional effects, like more damage or cosmetic enhancement. Item upgrades are available through crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors or loot drops, or as rewards for quests.
item upgrading can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC and spending appropriate currency. In most cases, a piece of armor will be upgraded to the next level after an upgrade is applied. Most armor types are upgradeable, however certain items (such as the armor used to start in Great Sky Island) cannot.
Most armor upgrades increase the item's strength or defense by only a tiny amount. Some upgrades, however, could result in significant improvements in defense or strength. This is especially true when upgrading epic items.
In addition to enhancing the defense base of an item, certain upgrades also give specific abilities that can be activated while wearing a piece of armor. These abilities can be beneficial in combat, such as providing a boost to attack speed or blocking. Certain upgrades provide effect that are passive and can be useful, such as decreasing damage when wearing armor, or increasing the chance of avoiding an attack.
Depending on the type of armor, upgrading an item could require several tries. For example, if a player wanted to upgrade a Steelclash armor to Dragonscale, the first attempt will result in a brand new piece of Dragonscale with an initial defense range of 59 and 67. The second attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor with the base defense between 67 and 77 and the list goes on.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players upgrade their armor sets up to level 4. To do so, they must visit each of the four locations known as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each of these locations contains a powerful fair who can improve a piece of armor for you.
Despite popular belief it isn't a necessity in The Division 2. Certain armors give a substantial boost in the reduction of damage from poison or curse, magic or fire. This makes them very useful for certain builds. There are other methods to improve armor stats besides upgrading armor, such as using the engineer attribute to increase armor penetration or the challenger to reduce the total weight.
Potion
When you put a potion into a stand for brewing, you can unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks a new level of potion effects, and can be repeated to get more potency levels.
The potion also gains a custom color code that the player can pick via /give, and that can affect the area-of-effect clouds as well as arrows created by the potions. In Bedrock Edition the custom potion colour also applies to the particle effects of the potions.
The water bottle, mundane potions that are thick and awkward now have a new texture of brewing. The potion of weakness was added to the healing potion in the Creative inventory. The addition of lingering potions which can be made using Dragon breath or splash potions. Also included is a thick potion that has the status effect of Mining Fatigue. Bug Tracker is the place to report issues relating to this patch.
Trinket
A trinket could be an inexpensive, small ornament or piece of jewelry. It can be a ring or necklace. It could also be a small banner used to mark the yard of a boat. It could also refer to a gilded trinket on the mast of a ship.
This bizarre trinket appears to be influencing the inhabitants of this maze and making them more popular. At its current level the trinket makes all types of mimic Xx more popular and gives each floor the chance of having an ebony mimic. This trinket requires a small amount of energy to upgrade.
This enchanted Scepter's magic seems to alter the dungeon's environment and increase the likelihood of producing water and grass. At the moment, this trinket makes X% of regular floors become filled with grass or water, but doesn't affect enchantments or the glyphs, cursed weapons, armor, or items generated to aid in the elimination of hazards.
This item, which looks like a eyes of a nymph, seems to affect your vision in a manner that goes beyond just reducing your field-of-view. This trinket, in its current level, increases the health benefits of drinking healing potion and wells of life by X% and gives you mind-sight on enemies within Y tile. This trinket cannot be combined with the Heightened Senses.
After completing the Mastery Cave, you can find Trinkets by beating Monsters and inside chests and crates in Skull Cavern. They aren't found in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.
If you have a trinket that needs to be upgraded, place it in the Anvil to upgrade it. This will cause an unpredictable effect on the trinket either extending its lifespan or strengthening its effects. You can reforge the Trinket as many times as you like, but it will always have the same effect.
You can also upgrade your Trinkets at the Alchemy Station by placing them into a Magical Catalyst. This will cost 6 energy, but will increase the power of the trinket by a tiny amount.
